Lightbox Chairty Rave Announcement

We will be running a very special charity event on the 22nd May at the Lightbox in London. The lightbox is currently the most respected and coolest club in London.

Drop the Mustard with Andy George

Drop the Mustard will welcome Radio 1 DJ Andy George to Manchester for the launch party of 'Zoo Fridays'. Alongside Andy will be our very own Ed Norris (aka SaxOffender) for an evening of pumping Electro and Tech House.

SMB Youtube site is the 93rd most visited today...

Yesterday James put 3 videos up from the Grin & Moondance NYE party at SE1 (Please see previous blog post). Today the Super Mario Bros Youtube site was the 93rd most visited Musician Youtube account.

SaxOffender to perform for Pukka Up on Sat

Ed Norris one half of the Super Mario Bros will be performing for the Pukka Up Christmas party in Birmingham. Expect Ed's (aka SaxOffender's) quirky and intelligent Saxophone skills to wow the bambu crowd as he weaves an extra layer into the music.

PukkaUp are super pleased to announce they will be bringing an epidemic of infectiously funky house to the beautifully refurbed Bambu, Birmingham every third Saturday of the month, beginning with some cheeky festive activities on Saturday 20th December.

With Christmas just around the corner the infamous and may we say ever so slightly festive Pukka Up Dirty Cops will be working away to ensure they bring you one hell of a party before Christmas Day itself looms! So we say forget about the stresses of wrapping (that’s what gift bags are made for!), do your last minute shopping on line, and come dance off that Christmas Turkey before you’ve even eaten it - you’ll even have time to recover before those dutiful family appearances you annually have to make!

As new-comers to Birmingham, you may have seen Pukka Up on Living TV’s ‘Ibiza 2008’ or maybe caught them on the 6 shows they co-toured with MTV’s Galaxy Chart Show in 2007 or just maybe you have read one of the amazing reviews written about them? Super Mario Bros at Mass, Brixton

Last Saturday we played at Mass in Brixton for our good friends at Summit.

We play for Summit Dirty (the House & Electro part of Summit). These events are often family affairs with the Grin guys such as Jack Michaels, Batch, James Edwards, Sean Thomas etc often spinning their shizzel.

This week we were also blessed by one of the midlands most up and coming DJs at the moment Chris Canning!

I originally drove down to the event and we arrived just before 2am. However after a heated discussion immediately after the set Ed decided that a cold can of Stella Artoi would be enough of a bribe to entice him to drive home.

(It was only his 2nd can and I am sure that he poured some of it away to stay under the legal limit)

Me & Ed did not get down until the early hours however I (James) spent a good half an hour dancing around whilst continually reaching to be sick. After many loud burpy sound effects a little bit of light pink fluid came out of my belly.... Jackpot!

Yes, I was sick on the dancefloor. Just like a 16 1/2 year old chav hitting his first club!
It was the first time I had ever been sick due to too much drink and I felt somewhat refreshed after the experience. The main room was a hard dance exclusive Andy Farley b2b with Paul Glazby & Ben Stevens. Other DJs included Cally Gage, Elements Live etc. Wicked night all round and our first experience of the might Mass Club.

The story behind Super Mario Bros (SMB)

On James's 21st birthday party Ed came down to his university halls of residence and played a couple of tunes on his sax over James's set.

Four years later the duo have had residencies at the Cross & Egg club as well as having performed in clubs such as Pacha, Turnmills, The Key, Mass & El Divino to name but a few.


We are both experienced DJ's & performers and taking bookings for the UK & Europe for 2009.

This is our personal account (blog) in order for us to stay in contact with people who have seen us and want to see us perform. It will include stories and accounts regarding us, our friends and other clubbing tales that are yet to be forever edged in our minds.
